'An Osteopath's function is to cure sometimes, to relieve often, and to comfort always'.

I. N. Kugelmass MD, PhD, ScD. 'The Physiological Basis of Osteopathic Medicine' (1970),
The Postgraduate Institute of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, New York, p11.

Welcome to Dunedin Osteopathic Clinic, where Focused Osteopathic Care, is delivered to you by the most highly qualified health professionals, who bring substantial clinical and academic experience to the practice of musculoskeletal healthcare for your benefit.

Established more than 15 years ago, Dunedin Osteopathic Clinic possesses a unique depth of experience in the practice of manual healthcare and Osteopathy. Striving constantly towards best practice rather than usual practice, we emphasise the importance of detailed history taking and diagnosis as critical features necessary for the successful management of your presenting condition. We also understand that you will want an indication of treatment outcome expectations associated with your condition, as well as an idea about how much treatment will be required, and over what sort of time period. This is Focused Osteopathic Care.

As the first osteopathic clinic established in Dunedin, over the last twenty years many thousands of patients have been successfully treated and helped toward a more comfortable and pain-free life. If your diagnosis suggests that further investigation is required we quickly direct you down this avenue. It might mean an 'x-ray' or blood test, or perhaps referral to another health professional. We engage with a variety of other health professionals as required, for your benefit and care. We also initiate and accept ACC claims for applicable accidents and injuries.

If you wish to make an appointment or have further questions or comments, please contact us. We hope that you find this website interesting and infomative and that it serves your enquiry well.
